Mime.822 & Part.001 Attachments

  What are the Mime.822 and Part.001 attachments I receive with emails from the Internet?
A. It is normal for GroupWise to display the <Mime.822> and <Part.001> file attachments on internet messages.

The Mime.822 attachment contains the header information so GroupWise can separate the header information from the important message information.

The Part.001 is normal for multipart/mixed content type or HTML/text content type message coming in from the Internet.

In other words, these attachments can just be ignored.  You don't need to open them!
